Our two connected classrooms offer a bright and cheerful atmosphere in which the children can experience a variety of individual, small group, and whole group activities. The classrooms are stocked with ample manipulatives, table toys, books, and other learning resources for the children to explore. Within the classrooms are various centers at which the children can play and explore during “Free Play” time.
Our separate “big room” is equipped with a Little Tikes climber with slide, various tricycles and other vehicles, Roller Racers, a basketball hoop, hula hoops, playground balls, and much more. This area is used on a regular basis for the development of gross motor skills. The big room is also used for activities such as parachute play and games like “Leprechaun, Leprechaun, Gold”.
Our safe and spacious playground area provides another arena for developing gross motor skills. The colorful playground equipment is relatively new and well maintained. The tire swing and rock wall slide are both favorites of the children. Our new Little Tykes Cottage playhouse and see saw are also very popular. Classes do go outside regularly even in the wintertime, as long as the weather permits.
